About the event
The Kyiv Symphony Orchestra's concert celebrates two events at once: National Flag Day of Ukraine (August 23) and Ukraine's Independence Day (August 24). The program brings together two world-famous composers as a sign of solidarity and support between Europe and Ukraine. The first part features Mozart and one of his rarely performed but profound and beautiful works: "Thamos, King in Egypt". The playful and rousing Violin Concerto no.4 together with the orchestra is interpreted by the soloist Roman Kholmatov. The second part is led by the magnificent composition of the world-famous Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov - the Symphony no. 5. This neo-romantic and postmodernist work, much like its creator, renews and influences the development of world music. The conductor is Vitalii Protasov.
You will receive ticketshere as well as in PS.SPEICHER and all known presale locations.
