About the event
Bruno Pillitteri: Nordic Frozen – An Icy Journey to the Northernmost Points above the Arctic Circle
–25 °C, endless expanses and a small Kawasaki humming along frozen tracks: in “Nordic Frozen”, Bruno Pillitteri takes you beyond the European Arctic Circle – to Finnmark and Northern Norway. Ice crystals crunch beneath the spikes, heated gloves and visors brave the wind, while the Barents Sea glides past in the distance. White-tailed eagles circle above the coastal road, herds of reindeer cross the snow-covered trail – and when a moose slides across the road with its legs stretched out, “motorcycling” suddenly takes on a whole new meaning.
Bruno shares his story in his own humorous way, talking about cold kilometres and warm encounters: riding technique and equipment that really matter at –25 °C; tactics and the many small decisions that can make all the difference in winter; icy tracks and spontaneous roadside repairs. With striking images and short video clips, he takes you right into the heart of this extraordinary winter route beyond the Arctic Circle – close to moments you will not easily forget.
