About the event

Experience a special event at the PS.SPEICHER and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. Matthias Kaluza offers an exciting insight into Audi’s impressive achievements in this world-famous endurance race.

With 13 victories in just 18 years, Audi made motorsport history – a series of successes that left a lasting impression on the competition. Matthias Kaluza tells the story of these achievements, from the first podium finish of the Audi R8R in 1999 to the many victories that followed up to 2016.

In this engaging lecture, you will learn how Audi turned the 24 Hours of Le Mans into a stage for technical innovation. The Audi R8R achieved a remarkable result, and just one year later Audi celebrated a sensational one-two-three finish. Over the years, Audi set standards in motorsport, particularly with racing cars that combined diesel and hybrid technology with impressive speed and reliability.

Matthias Kaluza will not only focus on the racing cars and Audi’s achievements at Le Mans, but also provide insights into the challenges and teamwork behind these successes.

Matthias Kaluza is a graduate designer and Managing Director of ö_konzept Atelier für Gestaltung in Zwickau. Among other projects, he is also responsible for the exhibition design of the PS.SPEICHER, which combines vehicles with authentic settings to create an experience-oriented journey through time for visitors, conveying both knowledge and emotion.
