About the event
On May 12th at 7:00 p.m., the FörderFreunde PS.SPEICHER invited Roland Gumpert to the PS.Halle in Einbeck. The automotive engineer will talk about his life, his passion for car racing and his new project, the NATHALIE sports car.
Roland Gumpert is an icon of automotive development. For Audi he developed, among other things, the Audi 50, the permanent four-wheel drive that has become known under the name “quattro” and the Audi quattro S1. In the 1980s, as team boss for Audi, he won four world rally championship titles and 24 world championship races.
Even at almost eighty years of age, Gumpert is far from reaching the limit. He is currently making headlines with the development of an emission-free methanol drive that provides a solution to one of the most pressing environmental problems of our time.
In his exciting autobiography, he tells of successes and failures, of love and close family ties, of goal-oriented development work, wild adventures on all continents and visionary enthusiasm.
Roland Gumpert, born in 1944, studied mechanical engineering (Dipl.-Ing.). From 1969 to 2002 he held various positions at Audi. After leaving Audi, he developed several super sports cars in his factory. With his latest project, the NATHALIE sports car, he is presenting a previously unique zero-emissions methanol-based drive to the public.
Co-author Matthias Thiele, born in 1972, studied psychology (Dipl.). He is the author of several non-fiction books and novels.
Of course you can also buy the book 'Ohne Limit' after the event and have it signed by Roland Gumpert.
