But without music, the images wouldn't be so colourful, Robin Hood wouldn't be so heroic, Wonder Woman wouldn't be so wonderfully feminine and Superman wouldn't be so strong. We recognize our big-screen superheroes long before they perform: when their music hits. Film music composers like John Williams, James Homer or Alan Silvestri are superheroes of the leitmotif, they create atmosphere, paint pictures in sounds.
