About the event

GEORGES BIZET: Carmen (excerpts) WOLFGANG A. MOZART: "The Marriage of Figaro" - Overture GIOACHINO ROSSINI: "The Barber of Seville" - Overture MANUEL DE FALLA: El amor brujo – Spanish dance JULES MASSENET: Le Cid (ballet music) JUAN CRISÓSTOMO DE ARRIAGA: Los esclavos felices - Overture MAURICE RAVEL: Bolero With the kind support of the Youth Music Foundation in Lower Saxony and the AKB Foundation It is no longer a secret that Spanish temperament can also be found in music. In the opera “Carmen” Georges Bizet knew how to pour passion into sounds 150 years ago. The fact that he was French himself seemed to enhance his fiery creativity even more...

How significant: In this concert we hear some well-known “Spanish” melodies, but they come from Mozart, Rossini, Massenet, Chabrier or Ravel. Nevertheless, anyone who has always wanted to hear only the selected highlights of the almost independent Spanish genre has come to the right place.

And last but not least, with Pablo de Sarasate, Juan de Arriaga and Manuel de Falla, who put wonderful dance rhythms on paper with the ballet music “The Magic of Love”, there are also real Spaniards represented...Olé!

Tickets arehere available as well as in PS.SPEICHER and at all known presale locations.
