Brand: Diapet

Diapet is a brand of the Japanese toy manufacturer Yonezawa Toys, which began marketing model vehicles under this name in 1965. Around the same time, Japanese cars began arriving on the German market – and with them the first miniature versions of Japanese vehicles.

Among Diapet’s later models is the Nissan Figaro. The full-size car was offered only in 1991 and, with its distinctive design, perfectly captured the retro trend of the 1990s. In Germany, the Figaro was not available through official dealerships and therefore remained a rare sight. The same is true of Diapet’s Nissan Figaro model and several other Japanese model cars in this collection.
