An iconic East German moped with a 50 cc two-stroke engine, robust engineering and classic design. The red-and-black paintwork underlines its timeless look.
The S 51/1 was the final model in the successful S 51 series, more than 1.6 million of which were produced between 1980 and 1990. It became a symbol of East German engineering.
With its improved engine, 12-volt electrical system and ease of repair, the S 51/1 remains a popular collector’s vehicle to this day.

Further Information on Sponsorship at the PS.SPEICHER
Do you have a favourite vehicle in our exhibition – one that brings back personal memories, impresses you with its design or engineering, or stands out because of its historical significance? If you would like to actively support the PS.SPEICHER and its unique collection, you can sponsor one of our vehicles for one year.
As a sponsor, you will receive a certificate for your home documenting your connection to the exhibit. If you wish, we can also display a small sign at the vehicle acknowledging your sponsorship.
The cost of a one-year sponsorship varies depending on the type of exhibit. The sponsorship begins on the date shown on the certificate. You will also have first priority if you wish to renew the sponsorship for the same object.
Sponsorships may also be taken out by companies or other legal entities such as associations and institutions.
